My horse loves watermelon!!

Did anyone else discover this??

yes my horse loves it, i had given him some one time and the rest of it i left in a tupperware on the ground next to him, i turn around and he had pulled the top of the tupperware and ate the rest of the watermelon. silly pony! lol

Oh yes! Years ago when I boarded my horse the BO's horse fell ill and became dehydrated. She couldn't get her to drink water and someone suggested watermelon. Worked liked a charm.

They say the rind of the watermelon helps them to gain weight. :)

They love any kind of melon! So funny to watch them as they crunch and slobber away! Hope it doesn't make them gain weight! My pony doesn't need anymore!! Some like pineapple too. My guys also like peaches-although take out the pit-has cyanide in it.
