Muscateal had his last foal in 2005 and since he was born in 1985, I have doubts about his virility at this age, 27. They may have straws but, as with most Arab stallions, $2500 seems to be a little over the top for a stud fee.
Deserthorsewoman are you trying to force me to refine my breeding program and aim it at reining?
I have some good well muscled mares as well as cow bred QH's and a few 1'2 arabs.
That stud fee does look good on Matt Dillion.
Now if they have a discount for booking early I will send you the bill.
There is a QH mare that I rescued this year that foaled a very correct filly.
I do not have the papers as she was chased into my yard before she foaled.
Both mare and filly are pure bre QH's though ranch bred to from south Texas.
The mare is very well trained just has trust issues from former abuse.
I am considering keeping her after seeing the filly.
Matt dillion would make an excellent cross. Shalom
Whoa there....I'm not trying to force anybody into breeding
In fact, Matt Dillon I would consider for my linebred Skipper W mare IF I had any intention to breed....that foal would be a red powerhouse, I tell ya.......... Posted via Mobile Device
I took two lessons in reining...years back. The trainer remarked at how big my mare could stop, right out the gate on her training too! He said he had heard a theory...something about the extra vertebrae in the Arabian could help with big stops as he knew of many Arabian/Quarabs who were huge stoppers....interesting theory for sure!!!
