My horse well start his showing career..

Dont let the title fool you this is not a "A" circuit shows or anything just some local shows. My horse well be going to a jumper day next month and in may he'll be going to his first combined show and dressage test ( im not doing dressage with him though). I am sooo excited but the only thing I am not looking forward to is dealing with all his mane for shows...its sooo thick. I pull it and thin it but its still sooo thick. What are your tips and tricks for dealing with it. Can you have a nicely pulled mane and show without braiding or banding it.

Many people don't braid for local shows. I do though. I think the horse looks way more nice and professional (and it does).

Local shows is a start! :) You never know - may be you'll be in rated one one day.

He is adorable!! Just remember, take a deep breath, don't worry about anything but giving your horse a good experience. And show names, my favorite!!

I would give him a running braid if you know how to do it, there is a thread & video on here somewhere. It's easy to do.
