So this is Stoney, he's 18 years old and super smart, sweet, and sane. My only thing is I need to work harder to assert myself as he is stubborn. Today I went and picked him up nearly 3 hours away and although he did load just fine his old owner was in tears handing me things and I felt terrible.. On the plus side I'm taking it as I got a good horse. After that I drove another hour to get a vet check done and it came back all clear except a little arthritis in his hocks but it's in a location where it shouldn't cause him any pain. Finally 6 hours after we left the house we drove a half hour or so to the barn and put his still slightly doped up self out in his new pasture. I'm a little worried he might be too skinny but I'm not sure. He was super respectful, well behaved, and relaxed at the vet and throughout hauling. The only slightly disrespectful thing he did was once we were at the barn he tried dragging me around after grass a little and wasn't really responsive. But I had a bad halter and he was still a little knocked out so I just put him up. I'm really hoping I can go out for the day tomorrow and put in some real work with him! Anyway that's just an update, do you all think he's too skinny?

Thank you guys! And yes he very much is.. He is how I would imagine a cross of two old geldings I know. One was an ex Reiner who was so sweet and tolerant, would jump the moon for a kid riding with the cutest funniest personality. The other was a very ornery, stubborn Appaloosa gelding who was constantly finding new ways to get out of work. I already love this guy!

So pictures from our ride today? We just had a short little walking and trotting ride and although a little lazy, he did great. I had never actually ridden him in his bit before and the difference was HUGE. And yes I do believe he'll get better with time, he's had two years off. Anyway some of these are from in his pasture and some are from riding, but how can I attach multiple images?

He is beautiful! I don't think he is thin. I think he will muscle up and be even prettier.

Could you do me a huge favor and take a picture of that hot Walker for me? That looks the same as the one I have(and it has never been put together....). We have it for sale, and people keep asking about how it is put together! We bought it in pieces, so we do not know!! Thanks!
