My new OTTB gelding King

I just bought my new boy!! He is a HUGE 17.2 hand OTTB. He is only 4, he had 6 starts and then he was retired. Which doesn't shock me at all, he isn't much of a racer! But he is sooooo well behaved and is actually going to excel tremondously in upper level dressage once we get about 300lbs on him! Poor boy is all ribs. I couldn't be any happier!! He is amazing! And is coming along beautifully in his training. He was 500 more than I wanted to spend but he is everything that I have been wanting. I love big horses and he moves really nice, so I think in the long run it was an additional 500 well spent :) Sorry just so excited!

Another OTTB mom, and one more Thoroughbred for dressage! Congratulations. He's very handsome. I'd love to see his pedigree if you have it and are willing to share (I have a slight obsession with finding Reno's close relatives).

Congrats! It appears everyone is getting OTTBs lately. I just got my girl last month (10 years old, retired at 7 after 60 starts) and she's also turning out to have great potential for dressage. She's an absolute joy to work with, which I've read most OTTBs to be! More pictures are necessary of your boy!

Congrats! Welcome to the OTTB club (I just joined 2 months ago)

My friend is going to be soooo jealous! She has been scouring the internet for an OTTB that is over 17 hands. Hang on tight because she might come over and steal him =)

Congrats on your new boy. My, but isn't he a long, tall drink of water!

I have 'short' TB at 15.3 h.

Congratulations! What a tall, handsome boy he is.
Can't wait to see, and hear about his progressions.
