My soon to be pony - A new breaker

So i've been offered a pony to break - A little 4yo grey arab mare. She's heavily endurance/race bred, but didn't grow! She is less than 14h, so i'll be breaking her in and hopefully using her for games. I just got back from checking her out.

She is CUTE! I forgot my camera, my bad. But she is adorable. She was born chestnut but has greyed out to a pretty dapple with the rosy hint of chestnut still there - And she is FAT - So lock-up is in order once I get her.

I'll be getting her in about three weeks - And I then have three weeks holiday over christmas so plenty of time to get her going. She hasn't had much handling, and is a bit jumpy, but I think she will come good.

Here is her pedigree: AHSA: Horse Pedigree - Heavily endurance bred with some really good Australian endurance horses in her close relatives.

Feel free to critique her breeding etc. I'll post pics once she arrives :]

I know nothing of Arab bloodlines but am anxiously awaiting pix.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

I too know nothing about those bloodline, good luck and I am waiting on photos, too.

A good cowboy always has a better horse at the end of the ride, a poor cowboy will be afoot reguardless of the horse.

I probably won't have any until I get her... In three weeks :[ I'm kicking myself that I forgot to take it with me yesterday!

But yep, I think she will make a nice little horse. Once all the weight comes off! It will be the first mare we have had in about 8 years.
