my trouble makers!!!

some times i wonder that run's through my 14 year old daughter's head.....the las we knew our horses were grazing in the pasture early this morning when my husband came home at 6 a.m from work....sarah went out side about 11:30 to get the mail and came in and sat down in front of the t.v and watched it for about 45 minutes before asking why there was horse poop in the front yard.....(our neighbours horses get out a lot but never make it up here) ...called over to the i was walking up to my barn to get some halters and leads some thing struck me as pen and pasture were empty......NO HORSES....WHERE ARE THE HORSES?.....couldn't see them any where on the property.....GONE...GONE ....GONE!!! some ways it was a blessing that i left both of there halters on, on each halter is a loonie sized tage with there name and phone number on it....but they were's terrifing to see a empty pasture.
first thought after calming down was to call the sheriff dept and give a description so they could help look....ok abby has the red halter and star has the blue halter....any scares?, hhhmmmm....on my way back to the house to get the phone i stated whistling (abby has a certian whistle she'll come too) i guess she herd it and the game was on......i couldn't see them but only hear was like marco polo......ok at this point i'm walking down the road (still in my p.j's with 2 lead ropes in hand while whistling looking like a total idiot).....i would whistle and abby would whistle back at me...still could't figure from where just knew they were close dawned on me while walking down the road to follow the horse poop (man my horses poop a lot) and on to the lot beside our farm (it's half junk yard half farm field) meandering through the junk yard i find both horses calmly grazing behind a old half grain silo, star walk right up me sheeplishly like he know he was in trouble where as abby ( my wild child) gave me more of a piss off i'm grazing look......i was surprised how good star was while walking on the road back to our farm.....we put abby out to pasture while star has to stay in the big pen for now....i'm just happy that my little trouble makers are home
