Need advice for my business name

Hello, I am endeavoring to start my own business and have a question. I am deliberately leaving out details as to what the business offers and am looking for feedback from all disciplines.

What would your first impression be upon seeing the name "Dark Horse Equine Care"?

Many thanks!

Well if I was looking for a barn I don't think I would rule any out based on the name alone. With that said though, I'm not feeling it. It leans more to the side of "creepy" than it does "unexpected" or something like that. Just my opinion though.

ETA: I should say barn or any kind of service since we don't really know what you are doing.

I agree it is kinda "dark" themed. I don't knoe exactly what you're offering, but it will interest more people if you have a bit of a better name

All right...let's open it up to general sugestions. I will be offering horse/ranch sitting services as well as temp work fill-ins at barns ( for instance, an employee is sick and injured and you need someone to fill in). What would you call this business?

Interesting. That's kind of a temp agency. OK that helps to know. What about something like "Progressive Equine Solutions?" I feel like you need to indicate that your service solves problems.

Well, the best business names let you know EXACTLY what the business does...

"Dan's Meats"

Vs

"Dan's Shop"

****

So how about a name that tells everybody what you do?

"On-Call Horse Care Services"

Leasing a spoiled rotten trail horse...pretty - but a brat!

Thanks guys! Great advice and I like the new suggestions. I should have emphasized the horse-sitting aspect. I expect few inquiries for the temp work and most for the pet sitting. Also, my target market will be either really rich folks or down to earth, sensible Montana ranchers (just the facts, ma'am).

Maybe just "equine care solutions" or "progressive equine care solutions"

Don't want to start sounding medical. Thanks and keep the suggestions coming!

I keep thinking that there must be a clever play on words for a name that includes "care-it" ( as in, carrot) but haven't come up with anything.

Much appreciated!

Progressive equine care kind of sounds like a new age supplement or some sort of holistic treatment to me. If I needed a horse sitter, that name wouldn't draw me in...
