Need opinions!!!!! Dont know what to do anymore!!!

I have been towing with the idea of selling my two year old APHA gelding. I have him on the market right now and have gotten some replies, but no one seems to be the right fit it my mind. I always have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when I think of the fact that I am selling him. We are moving and that is one of the reasons why I have him on the market. I also have the option of taking him to Texas with me. My dad is getting transferred with his job and they are willing to pay for him to get transferred down there.

The thing is I dont know if he is what i am looking for in a horse. I keep saying that to myself because he is kind of small for his age about 14.3 he turned two in janurary. His sire is 15.3 and his dam was 15.1 so you would think he would mature around there.

I have had sherman ever since he was 5 months old and we took him out of a bad situation. Even though we have had our share of fights I have really bonded with the little stinker.

Has anyone been in this situation before???? What did you do??? Do you think Sherman will grow more??? I mean I think he will I guess I am just being really impatient. I NEED ADVICE THIS IS REALLY GETTING TO ME!!!! ANY opinions or advice is GREATKY apreciated!!!

Of course he will grow more! He's only just turned 2, he's still got another 2 or 3 years of growing to do. You could always keep him on the market, and if you dont find a person you feel comfortable with, dont sell him. If you dont sell him by the time you move to Texas, take him with you. Personally, thats what I would do.

Thanks for the input. I had a long talk with my parents and think we are going to just see what happens. If nothing comes along that I dont feel comfortable with then we will take him with us and then go from there. Any other input will be apreaciated tho

Glad you decided to do that. If it doesn't feel right, then it usually isn't.

Your baby will grow heaps more yet. Where we live horses grow until they are 8 years old as a general rule, definately until they are 4 or 5

At 2 my gelding was 14.2 and now at 3 he is 15 and still growing. He wasn't supposed to get past 14.3, but it shows how they keep growing!
