In need of quick makeshift horse blanket!!

My horse has ripped his winter blanket to bits and there is no way to fix it !!

We are supposed to get A LOT of bad weather over the next few day (freezing rain, rain, lots of wet snow, etc.) we don't have time to go out and buy him a new blanket. So I was wondering, is there ANTHING that we can use in order to keep my monkey safe and warm in the coming weather?

Any help would be wonderful, thank you (:

scarfice a heavy blanket and attach straps to the chest and under belly and tail etc or whereever you like straps. but it wont be water proof so you would have to take it off horse and let them get wet then dry them and put blanket back on. but if you have a ton of old rain jackets you could somehow put them together and make a top water proof layer to keep on during the wet time. but it wont be perfect so you would have to keep checking the blanket
