    *Mmmm... Yum!*

Awww, sorry to hear about that Appy. *Hugs* That's really sad how some people can just be so ignorant. I hope the new place works out better for you.

Why does Gem need to be sedated?

I'm not 100% sure. I know we have a tough time picking up his feet, but that's because of the pain he's in. We can pick up 3 out of 4 feet. His right front is the worse. As long as you're patient and quiet with him, you'll be able to pick up his foot and clean it. And yeah, he might put it down before you're done, so you take a deep breath and try again.

Don;t be sorry for ranting. I love reading them! Seriously though, that so called "BO" obviously doesn't want the horse's needs and health to come first. What a moron! Poor Gem and poor you. Next time the farrier comes around, I'd emphasize that Gem didn't get her feet done and Vega did when you asked for them to both be done. What do you pay him for?!

Well we only pay the farrier if any work was done, and obviously with Gem nothing was done, so we don't have to pay for anything.

I just think they refuse the farrier to touch him. Though i'm not there so I don't really know.
