hmmm.
I'm not sure what to tell you (if they do sell her from under you). Do you know how long the ads been up? The sooner you act on things the better.

I just thought of this but not sure if you want to do it, you could have someone you know call up the stable saying you saw Lexi on the website and want to know more info. Ask all the questions you want. It might give you a clue into somethings (like if they still think she's theirs.) It's obviously not well thought out, but I just came up with it.

Print the ad, definitely, and even if you do not have one, threaten leagal action if they do not remove the ad.

I would get a micro chip in her and lots of pictures on that horse as well. Just in case they do sell her out from under you(those *insert expletive here*) make sure you have detailed pictures of her front back, any distinguishing pictures, her belly(just in case there is a mark there), her eyes, her feet. Go in there and hold an evidence type photoshoot.

If your horse goes missing, sue thier butts off. Call the news stations and get them plastered everywhere with bad press.

ETA: as soon as you can find someone with even a nook to put her, so long as it is safe, LEAD her off there if you can't find a trailer.

Suing would be nice, but she has no proof that she bought her. She'd have a really hard time of proving the horse was hers... Especially since she paid in cash.

The first thing you need is a receipt... if you don't have one and you move lexi, the barn could call the police and say YOU stole her... and you have no proof she's yours!
Right now, THAT is your biggest concern, nothing else.

Make sure you print those emails and put them in a safe place. Still work on getting that bill of sale. Even if she made a mistake on the selling part, you want proof of ownership.

HorsesareForever, I am prayin for you!! Man that is a scary thing to happen, but I think that is a big pile of horse dung that she "mistakenly" put that ad up there. Man that would scare the crap out of me that there was a chance someone would take my horse from me. WHEN you move your horse out of there, I would still consider doin some sort of action against that place because this could happen again but the next person might not be so lucky..

I HOPE everythin works out alright!!!

I love my horse. She is the wind beneath my wings.
