Smile New horse prospects for my family

I sold my horse a couple of weeks back, and enlisted the help of my trainer and BO to help me find a new one. I am currently "online shopping" and making a list of go sees. These seemed very appealing to me, thought I'd get some opinions on here. I do dressage, and my boys are both just learning, but my youngest is really involved. We want something that could do a little of everything, but would be a good fit for a beginner family. I also enjoy trail riding. Let me know what you think.....I think the first is just stunning, he is at least 15yo. 2nd looks great as well and may be a better fit for us!

I own Gypsy Vanners. They are easy to train and very calm. They all have great personalities. They are known for their dressage. (: I hope I helped with the type of breed...

I think since your boys are both just learning the first horse might be intimidating because of his size. Heck, I was intimidated just from looking at the picture! I think the second horse seems pretty nice. If I had to choose from one of them I would pick the second.

I know, that sucker is BIG..... Considering our last horse was 14.3, 16.3 is a big jump...lol, to me he's just beautiful.

2nd one really looks like he could work well for all of us, and he's a cutie too!

I just looked up Gypsy Vanners, what a beautiful horse. They sure look like they cost a pretty penny.

Yeah, he definitely caught my eye! I'm a sucker for paint horses Maybe you could go see both of them with your boys and see what they think about the first ones size.

I think the second guy is beautiful! His face markings are so unusual :) He sounds very well mannered and good for beginners so of the two, I would see the second guy first (and also see the first one as he is SO handsome! :P)

I pick the second one.

I'd be afraid to put such a big horse that I didn't know well with beginners. Also, anytime someone advertises that a 70 year old rode and owned him, that makes me suspicious. That sentence is used over and over with horse dealers in these parts.

Hmmm, good point Spiritlifter, I do see that quite frequently on the horse ads, but I do like the part where they say he needed a shorter horse...lol. The people that are selling him have another one for sale that looks even more stunning than this one, if that's possible. He's just too young and needs more training for him to work for us. Here's his ad, maybe someone else might be interested;). He's definitely eye candy lol. We will be calling on the second one.

APHA Dream gelding. May trade or part trade
