New lease :]

Alright so i was sitting in class last week and got a text from my friend telling me that her mom would like to know if i would like to lease wendy in exchange for work around the farm(aka stall cleaning and excercising the other horses and such) :] I am super excited. Wendy will be a project horse but she is a sweetheart. Her story that i know so far. She is a youngish sorrel paint mare. She was abused and was a horse that someone just saddled up tied her head down and beat her when she didn't give the right response, so in return she now does not like to move her feet she balks and gets nervous. We are working on it but gianna has started just doing the barrel pattern(to keep her focused) for fun and said she LOVES it soooo wendy will be my barrel project/gymkhana girly. She will deffinately need TONS of work and it will take time with my back issues and my riding time limited from it but i thinik she will excell i will get pics of her as soon as i can :] So what do you guys think???

It sounds like an awesome experience. It sounds great!
Like Love stated, be careful and good luck!

There is one principle that should never be abandoned, namely, that the rider must first learn to control himself before he can control his horse. This is the basic, most important principle to be preserved in equitation - Alois Podhajsky
