New name and color question

Hi all, we are looking for a new name for our little guy. He's an 8 mo. Old Morgan colt with a very sweet temperament. When we got him his name was Valentino, then my husband renamed him Strider but it just doesn't fit. His parents names are Romeo and Royal Essence. Here are a few pics- he has a VERY fuzzy winter coat and I'm not sure what color he will be when he sheds out- the hair underneath looks much lighter- almost a cream color. I've been calling him bay because both his parents are bay and his full brother is, too. But I'm unsure about the rest of his lineage. I have also included a close-up of his current coat color- you can see how thick it is! The little picture at the side was taken last fall by the previous owner before his winter coat came in.

I'm terrible with names, but he's brown, not bay. Notice that his muzzle is much lighter than the rest of him, along with the spots by his elbow and flank.

I was wondering that, thanks! His legs, mane and tail are black though. Does that not make him bay? I'm kind of hoping he'll turn out to be that lovely seal brown color. C'mon everyone, names please- I've seen some really good ones on here before!

He looks bay me, Karlos my boy has a lighter muzzle but is still has the black points and mane/tail so he is classified bay.

Bay and Brown are both caused by the Agouti gene, but slightly different versions of them. Many times a light brown horse looks just like a regular old bay horse, but the distinguishing spots are the muzzle, flank, and sometimes the elbow. Most of the time the muzzle is a slightly lighter colour rather than dark like a bay's would be.

Jack, your boy would be a light brown also.

Okay I'm putting this thread on the top again, because we really do need a new name for him. BTW he has now shed all the hair under his tail, and is kind of a golden color underneath- It will be very interesting to see what color he actually ends up- he still had his baby coat when his winter coat grew in.
