It is nice to have calm horses!

Today the power guys came to cut the branches away from the powerlines. They had a wood chipper attached to the back of a cherry picker. The powerlines (and trees) run right next to the horse paddocks and I had just put the horses up.

I rushed out there to check on the horses and they are calmly eating hay ignoring the fact that the wood chipper is running full blast and spraying wood chips up in the air and the fact that the other guy is up on the cherry picker cutting limbs maybe 40 feet from where they are standing.

It sure is nice to have calm horses!

On that note, I just tried ponying my younger horse off my old mare yesterday for the first time and it went great. They even ignored the car that honked at us.
