No Horses for 6 weeks!! *rant*

Last week I went in for surgery on the ligaments around my ankle. The doctor put me in a soft cast for 2wks and crutches and afterbthat I Cervantes hard walking cast. I went to the barn everyday the week before my surgery and averages 3times a week before that. I just got a wonderful western bridle from one of the members on here and all I can do is stare at it...at least until I get my hard cast. I'm not very good on my crutches yet so I don't dare try to go now...I'm just going batty I miss my boy something horrible. I'm sure he's just glad for the vacation ha ha. Hopefully he hasn't decided to turn back into a disrespectful monster by the time I get there again. Just need to rant about it the hubby isn't exactly horse friendly and doesn't understand how I'm so torn up about being away. Tried to con him into taking me but he said once I can crutch to the courtyard and back and not be winded well go....so that's my goal...

Showing
I feel your pain, girl! Last spring I broke my collarbone in a track meet, some girl fell into my lane on the hurdles and I was set up wrong for the last one, and was in a sling, not allowed to ride for 10 weeks--during show season! Hang in there, it'll be over before you know it.

At least you still have a horse. I've gone 6 months without one and it will continue to be this way till I can get a second job.
