they said he had a hoof problem earlier in the week and his jocky said that he stumble in the beginning(but I didn't see it) and he may have been kicked in the chest when he got too close to the front runner. And he was tossing his head and they said he's never done that before so he was in some type of distress.

He had a quarter crack in his left forehoof earlier in the week but it was healed and not an issue. His jockey pulled him up when he asked him to accelorate at the top of the strech and he didn't have any horse left (it's called being tired, not injured). It was obvious that Big Brown wasn't going to win or even come in second or third so his jockey pulled him up and claimed he thought the horse was injured...

Test as all done and Big Brown wasn't injured at all. He ran a terrible race and was beaten before they came down the stretch.... it's ashame that he lost but he came in last and was outrun by the longshot! He's no Secretariat, that's for sure.
