Nothing can suck the joy out. . .

. . . Of the day (not to mention the boots off of your feet) faster than pushing a wheelbarrow full of horseapples through 6" of slick, slimy mud. Yuck!

I hear you there! As much as I hate the cold, I can't wait for it to get cold enough to harden up the muck we have right now. It's rainy and just warm enough NOT to freeze, BLEH!!!!!

I can put up with working in the dark, I can put up working with mosquitoes and flies, I can put up with working in the cold, I CANNOT stand working in the rain!
I did exactly what you had to do today. I cleaned a paddock during a thunder and rain storm and all my clothes were literally soaked. I wouldn't even think of working with my horse during heavy rain like this. And it is going to be showers all through the end of the month and possibly more, GREAT. If there is a weather god, I wish to assassinate him.

Same here. The hay barn is almost flooded, so when I went to get the hay, I had to wade through 6 inches of solid muck, in the rain, in the cold, in the wind, and almost ended up on my butt.

    Lovely.
