Cool Oh the joys of horse shopping

My mother has finally decided it is time for a horse of her own. I forgot how much work horse shopping can be. Its amazing how people advertise a horse and the horse sounds perfect but when you get there you're wondering where the "perfect" horse went. Yesterday I was really baffled by this bo. She was selling her mare but had no idea what a full quarter horse bar saddle was compared to a semi quarter horse bar saddle. She kept telling me her saddle size was western 16. Granted, I am very ignorant in the horse world but I at least know what size clothes my horse wears!! Geez
