Oh Sure, Now They're A Dime A Dozen

Back in the winter I was desperately searching for a lightweight black saddle. Western, endurance style or Australian, preferably used. They were impossible to find. I eventually purchased a very dark brown endurance saddle from a friend primarily because she let me try it on my horse before buying it, something other sellers wouldn't allow. It fit him nicely and is very comfortable. But it seriously bums me out that it isn't black. I know that's stupid, but it bothers me! And now within the last month I've seen no fewer than 5 lightweight black saddles on Craigslist within my price range. I am so tempted to buy one, soooooooo tempted.

Don't forget to make sure they are higher quality and will fit your horse first.

This. If they are indeed higher quality, would fit you and your horse, AND are the right color then I would jump on one and sell your current saddle. No need to settle if there are better options available and you could sell yours for the right price.

I can't afford anything of a good quality so no worries there LOL! My current saddle works great for me but is certainly something most people would snub their noses at. If I decide to take a chance on one I will have to buy it and just sell it if it doesn't work. I have yet to find a single seller willing to let me try it on first, which I understand.
