Okay, now I'm nervous.

:roll: About a week ago, I was super excited about bringing Rosa to the new boarding place...now I'm just nervous. So many things are going to be changing for her.

She's going from being in a small pasture with 2 other mares to being turned out in acres of pasture with 6 other horses (not right away). She's going from hay and sweet feed to hay and acres of grass(once again, not right away). She's going from being stabled at night to not being stabled at night. (the weather's not bad, but still!) She's going from the home she's lived at for 12 years to a totally new place. I'm so worried about her!!!!

Any tips? Advice? Ways to make the transition smoother for her?

Sonny went from being in a pasture with 12 other gelding to being by himself...he was fine...he doesn't really care (or doesn't show that he cares)....so I doubt it will make too much of a difference

As for being out all night...that's what's natural and healthier for a horse....as long as theirs a run-in-shed you'll have no problems. Sonny is out 24/7 and I've had no problems at all.

As for the grass....introduce her slowly to it and she'll definitely be alright. Just keep an eye on her for the first couple weeks. But I'm sure she'll be fine

I know how you are feeling I was the same way when I move buck to kis new home thing will get fine when you get her moved and settled n it will all fall in place :)

Everything went great last night!! We visited her twice today, and she's doing really well, and the horses all seem to like her so far.
