 OMG I'm so proud of myself!!!!!
Okay most of you knowing me fear of cantering on Sonny due to his tripping, or galloping instead of cantering.
I worked one time with a lesson horse and cantered with him (I posted a video of it at one time), but even after that I was too nervous to canter on Sonny.
But today, I did it!!!! I asked for a canter (was wearing a western saddle) and prepared for him to gallop off, but he did a nice, slow canter. So I stopped him, and asked again. And again he did a nice slow canter. I'm soooo happy. I think I've FINALLY gotten over my fear of cantering.
I was even feeling soo good that I got on Sonny bareback (first time EVER riding bareback with him). Though he wouldn't go at all when I was on bareback, but he didn't freak out...and I was just happy I tried.
