After called about 8 different vets, NO ONE would do a Pre purchase exam!! I guess vets around here keep getting sued because people think a PPE is a guarantee, and when the horse isnt exactly the way it was on the day of the the PPE, they blame and sue the vet.

Anywho, one of the vets called me back and said she would do it. I scheduled it on Friday at 10 am. If all goes well he is going to be trailered home (to the barn I'm going to be boarding him at) Saturday morning.

I am SOOO excited! I hope all goes well, because I am absolutely in love with this horse. I know I shouldn't have gotten attatched before the PPE, but I couln't help it.

Yesterday he was following me around the paddock, and even trotted over the jump next to me. I ran and he cantered right behind me, and stopped instantly the second I did. He is so cool.

Sorry for the pointless post, but wish us luck on Friday!!!!

That is awesome! I hope your PPE goes well!! I can't believe so many vets said no... then again if I was getting sued for doing my job I would be kind of sketchy as well.

    Good luck!

Listen to your vet - if she says there is a problem or potential problem - walk away. There are so many good healthy horses out there right now.

That is absolutely bizarre that you had trouble finding a vet to do a PPE!! Hope it all goes well!

He did not pass the PPE. He trotted off VERY lame on his left front - on a scale of 1 to 4 (1 being sound 4 being totally lame) he got a 4+. I bawled my eyes on the way home. I need to not get attatched to any other horse until he PASSES a PPE. :'(
