He does have the occasional "moment" when he sees a deer in the woods or feels the wind blow up his skirt on a cold day, but what amazes me about him and TB's in general, is how hard they try to do the right thing. Even when he's ready to burst out of his skin, he still tries to keep himself together for me. That being said, TB's need leadership. They need to know you have their backs. In return, they will walk through fire for you.
i love this! That's exactly how I feel about my ottb. He was *thinks* 5 years off the track when I got him so I have no idea what he was like with his retraining but seriously, if that horse trusts you and has faith in your leadership, he will take care of you like no other. It seems a lot of TBs are that way and I feel lucky to have mine. :)
