Our latest rescue - Sultry's Wise Man

We recently rescued Sully. He's a 5 y/o OTTB gelding.

Here are some pics from the day we brought him home:

    A few weeks later:

Mama (one of our other rescues) left and Sully right:

Tonight with the used barrel saddle we bought for him today. Our saddles are way too big for him.

Unfortunately Sully and my hubby's gelding, Harley, don't get along at all so we have to keep them separated. Harley beat the heck out of him when we turned them out together.

Sully does great under Western saddle and English, but he needs training. He's very willing and tries hared. Our trainer took him to an English barn to be evaluated and they tried him over some jumps. He did great! I'm so proud of him. He's going to have a chance at a good life now.

Thanks all! I have a lady coming to look at him today at 3:00. We'll see how that turns out. Keeping the fingers crossed.

Wow, Sully is sold! The lady threw her English tack on him, rode him in the round pen and then all over the property and down our long driveway to the highway. He did great! I'm so proud of him.

Most likely she's going to train him and sell him for about 8 or 10 grand but that's ok. He'll have a good, productive life eventing. I had a feeling about him the beginning and it paid off for him and us.

Wow what a huge transformation! I can't believe what you guys did with him!

Congrats on the sale and I hope his new owners give him a loving home!

So are RosieRox and Harley Heaven married then? LOL I'm sort of confused!
