So I've always owned at least 2 or more horses, always. Because of the expense and time I cut down to owning Cobalt. I will admit before making the jump, I wasn't sure how I would do it but I LOVE IT.
All my expenses are kept to a minimum which means I can actually splurge on things I never would have before. My farrier bills are fantastic, my board bill is great. Every penny I spend on training is straight for him which means I will be able to keep in training for as long as need be.
From a time point of view, I enjoy going to the barn knowing I will be spending all my time and energy and focus on the one horse, Cobalt. I don't leave feeling bad because I spent time with one horse and not the other and I don't have to actually dread going to the barn BECAUSE I have 2 or more horses to work with.
I know I'm not the only one so let's hear what your views are!
