Owning a small stable?

So someday I want to build and own my own stable as well as having a (somewhat) full time job as an accountant (okay, maybe NOT an accountant ). Do you think it would be possible? I can't see myself giving lessons or anything, it would just be a stable for boarding, however I'm not sure if I would have any boarders without a trainer?

Do you own a barn? How hard is it? Of course, this probably won't happen for a very long time, but I'm already designing my barn (A girl can dream, right ).

I've worked at two boarding farms, fairly large-the both of them. It depend on your job, money, and size of the facility. If you want to have a barn or whatever. Where I board now, there's a shelter, outdoor sand arena, tack space, and 50 acres-rotational pasture. And the guy has about 4 boarders I want to say. Boarders can be a pain, believe me. I was the stable worker. Cleaned all the stalls, fed, etc. I got requests consistently about stupid stuff. (Ex: Oh my horse needs more bedding-even though he has about two feet in there.) If you could tell me a little more about what kind of facility, I'd have more to work with. Lol.

Keep calm is right full bording barn can be a pain, you could have a do it your self place like my friends are , the owner just gives you a stall and water and light in the barn and every thing els is up to the horse owner to get this type of barn could work well or be real bad

We have a small acreage, we have a run in shed, outdoor arena and great trails within a mile to ride at.
I have had one boarder here for now four years and a couple others for a few years also. I have never had a problem with them and we've become good friends and riding companions!
I don't charge much, everyone supplies their own hay/feed and I do the feeding.
I love doing it......
