Paddock Boots

Hey,

So my boys legs swell if he stands still in the mud and rain all day, that he tends to do... This situation has been checked by a vet and the vet has suggested just to work him and it should go down, although if it doesn't to call the vet again. So I do not need any advice on the swelling itself, just preventing it by using boots.

So I was thinking, are there such things as waterproof paddock boots, I've also been meaning on getting him a set or two of normal ones so if anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear!

I don't believe that you can prevent swelling with boots. Especially in mud. They would just weigh him down and make him uncomfortable.

If it's just stocking up, then he should work out of it when you ride him. Happens to my horse when she stands in a stall all day.

Thanks, the swelling hasn't gone up anymore, so that's good. But it hasn't gone down, he needs work!
