Are Paint horses spooky horse like people think or can they be good kids horses? Thanks

Not all Paints are spooky, but not all would make a good kid's horse....depends on the individual horse, not the breed :)

I have yet to find a paint that wasn't a sweet natured horse. I think mine is the only one I have met that wouldn't necessarily be a good kids horse, but that's only because he has way too much of a need for speed. I do let my 13 YO ride him, but I probably wouldn't let somebody else's kids on him.

My favorite horse to teach kids off of is a paint and my mare is a paint. I walk her up and down busy streets, through parks, to a deli. She is amazing!
