Pony Racing. Would like some help!

My daughter is an very good rider. She would really like to try pony racing. She has a 13.2H pony. How would we go about this? Is it very costly? I don't know anything at all about pony racing. We are Nj.
Thank you

Yeah. She just told me about it and it sounds very cool. This is it

That's cool! I've never heard of this before. Your best bet might be going to a race and contacting someone involved with the ponies and talk to them about where to go and get involved.

If I remember correctly, there were pony races at a Delaware point-to-point I went to a couple of years ago. Their website isn't particularly helpful, but they definitely do show photos of ponies and provide contact info. Maybe you could start with them; depending on where you are in NJ, it might not be that far to one of their events.

Pony Racing is big in the UK, where is used as sort of a "Little League" for jockeys. I suspect the YouTube you posted is of a race in England or Ireland.

As ergrogan stated above and as I did in your other thread on the subject, in the US, pony races are held as part of steeplechase meets.
