I actually admire the riders that have ate the dirt many times and still ride. I look up to them because I think that if they can do it, then I can.

I've just got my horse 3 months ago, and just two weeks ago, he made me eat the dirt real hard too, and it's funny about the haiku thing because that's exactly how it felt, that I could write a poem on the way down because it was like slow motion lolz.

But really actually, I'm glad I fell, because that following week he tried a new tactic to throw me off but my new awareness made me a better rider and I was bette prepared and I didn't even fall the second time he tried. I like to think falling improves your sense of what you need to focus on balancing or reacting.

I must be weird. My one fall didn't include haiku. One moment she was half-rearing and spinning, then I was on the ground. About 5 seconds later, I was rolling on the ground, shouting cuss words, and saw her galloping toward me.

Thought she was coming to finish me off, but she stopped and put her head next to me. Don't know if she was shaking because of the two-stroke engine noise that first spooked her, or my foul language...but it sure wasn't a slow motion fall! Of course, she's only 15.2, so maybe there is something different in the atmosphere at the stratosphere level.

And in fact, 3 of the letters in my first 4 letter word came out after impact...pretty bad when you can't even cuss on the way down! Let alone think "...Am I good? Or am I bad? Tokyo awaits!"

bsms The 12.2 and unders are the biggest shock to the system - its like one second you're there and the next you're on the ground trying to figure out what happened!!!
At least not so far to go but very embarrassing.
