I know here in Indiana and down in Kentucky they've had some problems with people turning their horses loose because they couldn't afford them anymore. Sad situation all the way around.
Yes the lady has seen her down there. I was out there riding when she saw her and we talked I just told her i started seeing the little horse down there by the fence. She didn't really act like she knew what to do. *sigh* I love my BOs but some times they just arent the smartest.

Oh good idea so police can see just how thirsty she is if need be. and no I would have to go way up on the other sides of the fields and i dont have any wire or help.

They can easily look up the property's owner and ask them about the horse. Call every day about it until they do.
Im defiantly hoping I can ask some neighbors tomorrow or Saturday. and If I dont get any answers Im calling the cops. See what they say to do.

My guess is that she's been dumped there, knowing there's neighbouring horses and somebody will take care of her. I'd call the animal welfare now - if it was mine, and I was taking the proper care of it, i wouldn't be offednded if someone was concerned and rported it as i'd be able to prove i was following vets edvice etc - and if the owners surface and can't prove they are working to get her well, thn at least you've saved her from anymore suffering xx

I'm another one for notifying the authorities

Subbing, interesting situation.
