Project horse

My cousin was bored and trolling Craig's list.
This is what she came home with:

She says it is her new project horse,
She drove way down to southern MO to get him.
3 year old stud. TB/paint X QH, 14HH
My cousin is 65, she lives alone and boards 6 horses.
I wish I were that ambitious.

She bought him from a woman that watched a neighbor starve him for months.
The woman finally went to the neighbor to buy the horse, and get it out of the bad situation. The woman didn't know anything about horses, but she did know enough that the horse was starving. So after she got the horse from the neighbor she then advertised it on craigs list.
And my cousin went to get him.

Oh bless her heart! That is awesome! Cannot wait to see him looking better again. I also thought it was a before and after with skinny pics first. So sad! But good save!

She said he is in such bad shape that she is afraid to even worm him till the vet gets here.

She is planning on breaking him to ride and see what happens from there. I think he might be a very cute driving pony.

She has always wanted a pony hunter, but her last project horse, that was to be her project pony grew to 14.2 1/2. So now he is our extra trail riding horse.

Good for the neighbor! Happy your cousin picked him up! Nevertheless, he'll be a looker.

Oh poor baby.... he was absoluey stunning half a year ago. God Bless your cousin and that neighbor for doing the right thing. With some time, a snip, and a lot of good food, he looks like a VERY useful, VERY good looking boy.
