Very sorry for your loss, John. I will say one thing though.. I would rather put an animal down a day too early than a moment too late.
Rest easy you made the right decision.

God Bless your heart John, sending hugs and prayers for you.

Most of us have been there, I'm bawling for you. I don't think it gets any easier, but I know how that love feels and keep trying to keep it going with my other horses. It's all we can do.
I'll be looking forward to his memorial if you post one.

You can get a lot further with a ladder than you can with crutches!!

Decision is not easy,but we have to let go & put the comfort of our animals before our own.I made a similar decision in saying goodbye to my heart horse of 30yrs,so know alot of the feelings you are going through {{{hugs}}} to you & may your boy RIP

So sorry for your loss John. You're a great horseman, and you and Corupshun were lucky to have each other. I lost my Big Joe (26 y.o. Grulla Quarter) last year, I still miss him very much. You'll see corupshun again....
