    Question Question on english tack

I posted in the tack section but no one has gotten back to me. So I will ask it here :)

I just got a Leadline saddle to better fit my daughter and her pony. Its built much like an English saddle which I no nothing about. So my questions are:

    1) How do I measure my pony for a correct girth?

    2) Are there "kid sized" stirups? This I am not as worried about as she is not actually riding yet.

Here is an article explaining how to measure for an english girth :) Jessica Jahiel's HORSE-SENSE Newsletter Archives

There are childrens' size stirrup irons. www.doversaddlery.com should have some.

Also, with the leadline english saddle, make sure that the saddle fits the horse properly. Here's an article about that:

    Good luck! :)

    Thanks PiggyPablo

Its a flex tree so I am hoping it fits right, but if not it was free and I will just have to keep trying until I find one that fits

    I love dover saddlery :)
