When I took lessons, (jumping) it was 25$ and hour because I came an hour before and after my lesson and helped with barn chores. Lessons would regularly be 35/hr.
My parents paid for it, because I was only 15.
Now I am at a different barn, and lessons are 120/month. That includes 4 lessons, sometimes 5 depending how many days in that month.
But I am leasing a mare at the barn, so I get a good deal on lessons, and only have to pay 15$/hr.
And only doing 2-3 lessons a month wont hurt you, as long as you work something out with your trainer so that you progress as much as you can. I only took lessons 2X/week for a few months when I was younger, and I was still up to par with the other riders that were in my lesson group who rode every week.
Lesson prices can vary SO much depending on so many things!!
