    Smile Question for you guys

Ok so I got a question for each of you.
How much do you guys pay for lessons?
My very first barn it was $40.00 dollars
Then it went to $35-$60.00 dollars now the barn I am starting at is $40.00 well
Got a question if I rode 2 lessons a month is that going to hurt me? Because my parents agreed to helping me pay for lessons until I get a job I have been looking really hard so I can start paying my own lessons eventually start leasing a horse an doing some shows during the summer and POSSIBLY get a new horse eventually but I wont be boarding him/her anywere.

So how much do yall pay for lessons? And would it hurt my riding if I only rode 2 or 3 times a month? Because if I rode 2-3 times a month 1 lesson a week that is $120.00 a month.

    Green Broke
When I took lessons, (jumping) it was 25$ and hour because I came an hour before and after my lesson and helped with barn chores. Lessons would regularly be 35/hr.

My parents paid for it, because I was only 15.

Now I am at a different barn, and lessons are 120/month. That includes 4 lessons, sometimes 5 depending how many days in that month.

But I am leasing a mare at the barn, so I get a good deal on lessons, and only have to pay 15$/hr.

And only doing 2-3 lessons a month wont hurt you, as long as you work something out with your trainer so that you progress as much as you can. I only took lessons 2X/week for a few months when I was younger, and I was still up to par with the other riders that were in my lesson group who rode every week.

Lesson prices can vary SO much depending on so many things!!

I am a very good rider I just take breaks during the winter time. Because its to cold in Texas during the winter I am not big on riding in the winter time. But I mean if I start leasing I may go out and visit. But yea that's not bad for you I wish I could it be that cheap for me. Lol

Lessons are $25 per hour with your own horse or $30 per hour with a lesson horse.

I pay 35$ for a private lesson (30 min) , or 30$ for a group lesson. (1 hr) And I go once every week. But, my parents pay for it, I am only 12. :)

Haha I was thinking the same thing to when I read that. Its just that the defintion between cold in Texas and Cold in Wisconsin is a big difference.

We have snow from late November/early December through early March. 40 below 0 or 50 below if its a bad winter. Days of non-stop wind. We rejoice when its over freezing.
