I actually bought an in-utero foal, and he is now one week and three days old today. He's gorgeous, sweet, and looks very promising. My breeder set up a contract for the foal, with a live foal guarantee, for her and me to sign. I asked her a million questions about the mare, the stallion, what would happen if the foal didn't make it or the mare aborted. In my contract, any money I had paid towards the foal, excluding the $300 deposit, would be refunded, or put towards another foal from this crop, or her next crop. Hennessy, or Henny, will be weaned at four months, and I'll receive him then. He's promised to be able to trailer, stand for the farrier, and be halter broke. I may actually get to visit him this weekend, which would be amazing! Here's a couple pics of my Henny, a successful in-utero purchase if I do say so myself :)
