Post Quick survey for people who have brought a horse in the past/next 12 months

    Hi guys,

I wonder if you could spare a couple of minutes to fill in this survey.

It's aimed at anyone who is considering buying a horse in the next 12 months or anyone who has brought a horse in the last 12 months. The only stipulation is that the horse has to be over $1000.00.

Answers of the survey will be used to help to reduce any post sale dissatisfaction and improve the purchasing process.

    Thanks in advance x

I'd take it, but I bought my mare from a rescue for $400. Good luck with it though.

Since none of the 4 horses we got in the last year meet the stipulation, I couldn't take the survey. In all for them, we paid $61 plus costs in transporting them.

Jackson, now an 11 month old colt, was bought for $60 at a fundraiser auction in August.

Star, 9 year old gelding, was bought for $1 from a client of a trainer we know that had no luck of selling him outright.

The last two were rescued mares we adopted.

So anyway, here's my answers to it:

    1) Price and health

    2) ability 10, breed 10, age 3, temperament 10, looks 5, past performance 10, sex 10, health 1, vices 10

    3) pictures, video, details and price

    4) weather, price

    5) over 100

    6) no one except maybe a vet

    7) a vet is more experienced with health issues the me

    8) I trust my own decisions

    9) cost of horse and health issues

    10) none

    11) 1

    12) all 6's

    13) that's where the horse is from

    14) failed vetting or didn't like

    15)male

    16) 41 - 45

    17) no thanks

I answered, but I was irritated when some questions only let me choose one answer when I wanted multiples.

But why does it have to be over 1000? I mean, if I bought a horse for 800 then I would still look at it's qualities and such.

Not only that but with the market what it is, there are so many good horses that are not overly expensive.

Ditto *shrugs* ... odd stipulation IMO as the questions there would apply to any horse.

Neither horse we bought came close to $1000.00

My mare was only $400 so I guess I'm not qualified either.
