There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man. ~Winston Churchill

Riding: The art of keeping a horse between you and the ground. ~Author Unknown

It is not enough for a man to know how to ride; he must know how to fall. ~Mexican Proverb

No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle. ~Winston Churchill

Horses and children, I often think, have a lot of the good sense there is in the world. ~Josephine Demott Robinson

He knows when you're happy
He knows when you're comfortable
He knows when you're confident
And he always knows when you have carrots.
~Author Unknown

The wind of heaven is that which blows between a horse's ears. ~Arabian Proverb

To ride a horse is to ride the sky. ~Author Unknown

When I bestride him, I soar, I am a hawk: he trots the air; the earth sings when he touches it; the basest horn of his hoof is more musical than the pipe of Hermes. ~William Shakespeare, Henry V

Just some I found on the internet, but I have always been in love with the last one. :)

My favorite quote of all time is this:

"I want a horse with heart above all other.
I don't care if he's Smart Little Lena's full brother.
Or just how much his grandmother won,
Or whether he's roan, palomino, or dun.
But give me a horse with some grit and some try,
And some heart and some guts
And that's the one I'll buy."
- Monte Baker

While no one really liked Parelli here, and I care for his style much either. This is one of his quotes that I really like.

Luck is spelled W. O. R. K., and is defined when preparation meets opportunity. ~PP

That's what I tell myself when I get discouraged with a paticular horse. Eventually we do get it right.

He has a lot of good ones lol
I also like "Take the time it takes, so that it takes less time." and (just for a giggle) "When people get too old to be bad examples, they sit on a porch and give out bad advice."
Some of my other favorites are;
"Horses stay the same from the day they are born until the day they die - they only change from the way people treat them." ~Tome Smith, trainer of Seabiscuit.
And as my signature sayd; "If a horse fails to do something, that is because he was not trained to do it. If a horse fails to do something properly, that is because he was not trained properly." ~Alexander Nevzarov

Don't under estimate my size. I can bring a 1200lb animal to its knees with a piece of leather.
