Man O War will always be my favorite. It would be so awesome to see a horse like him run nowadays when everything possible is done (apart from drugging anymore of course) to help the horses run faster including lighter equipment and better track surfaces.

John Henry - hands down.

Arguably the best turf horse in history, and he displayed the longevity to establish his greatness over a long career instead of 2 years and retirement...he raced successfully till he was 9...an incredible 39 wins, 15 seconds, and 9 thirds over 83 races - that's 63 races in the money...
