Random question about stall card holder

I wasn't sure what section to put this in, so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong spot. Kind of a random question, but does anyone know how you would attach a stall card holder like this: http://www.sstack.com/Stable_Barn-Supplies_Stall-Supplies/Dura-Tech-Stall-Information-Holder-Blk/ to a pipe pen type stall like this:

The picture shows it drilled into wood, but obviously that wouldn't work for this type of stall. Any ideas?

Can you drill a piece of plywood to the bars and then drill the card holder onto the wood?

I'm picturing pipe or bar stalls? If so just zip tie or wire it onto the stall.

Both those ideas sound great! I'm going to suggest getting these to my BO, but I wanted to have some ideas for installation before I brought it up. I'm not sure why I didn't think of zip ties. Thank you both for your help! =)
