    Reading and Listening

I took this from another thread on another BB

I found it interesting to read the different comments on teaching, learning, etc. but I came away thinking many of the posters were not really listening to each other.

Who else finds this so ?

It is one of the main reasons why I post less and less and less.

I turns more into arguments where everyone blocks the other out :(

Nearly everything turns into a debate, it's true.... :-/ And a lot of rude retorts when you simply ask a question that is questioning their opinion even slightly. But I guess that's how most of the internet is. In many forums/groups I have been on, people get picked on and pick fights...

Yes alot of people that genuenly ask for advice and will take it don't really get answered and their thread turns into a fight

I think its true sometimes. Other times I feel people truly do get some information from their posts. I like to think so anyway
Your going to get as varied responses as we have variety of people. Some are here only to have their thoughts read, others to gain or share knowledge, and still others just to have fun. Then you have the undertow of people who like to suck others under and cause trouble. I prefer to ignore them, unfortunately I can't
