Reading Sav's brand?

I need help... my fuzzy horse's brand is invisible. Are there any more experienced people out there who might be able to decipher it? I don't want to clip her, I'll just wait till she sheds if I need to, but I thought maybe someone might be able to figure it out.

Here's a photo, and the chart.

I can't really tell with all the hair... But on a random note, my name is Savs... (Full name Savanna, though it hardly ever comes into use nowadays)
Sorry, that's what attracted me to this thread. ;)

Step one: Mount horse. Step two: Stay mounted.

Wow! That's tricky! I'm not really sure there's any hope reading the reg number in all that fuzz, but I would say the birth year is 06. That's probably not very helpful is it? Sorry.

If I was going to have a crack at the rest of it, i'd say...648 for the first bit. Not sure about the last half....644? Sorry if that's all useless. It's really tough.

Maybe you'll see more in her summer coat.

Good luck working it out!

No idea for the registration number, but I agree with SkyeAngel: She was born in 2006.

I see the 2006 as well--the rest will be much easier to decipher once she has shed the winter coat.

okay uhm, I agree with everyone who's said the birth year is '06. I'll take a stab at the rest...

I'm getting something like
643443

But I'm sure that's wrong. I just stared at it for about 15 minutes, and that's the best I can do. Is there any particular reason you want to know now? I would just wait until she sheds if it were me.

Haha I really appreciate you taking the time to try and figure it out... :P I want to look up her information, like where she was captured, etc. I need to get a title on her as well, but I'll have to have legible photos of her brand to send to the BLM before I can do that, so I'll either have to wait till she sheds or shave it. The only clippers I have are my stepdad's face trimmers, and I doubt he'll let me take those to the barn... lol. I'll just have to wait for my next paycheck and get a decent pair that will also do her bridle path. I used to board at a place where the lady groomed dogs as well, so she had some amazing clippers... I don't know, I was always under the impression that decent clippers were pricey. Never really did the research though!

Thanks everyone!

Do you have a pair of clippers where you could shave her brand? It's odd that hers is so much smaller than the brand on either of my guys.

I got a pair of okay trimmers that work for bridle paths for like $25. They would never work for anything more than just a bit of hair but for that price, I can't really complain. If you are looking for clippers that you can do body clipping with, those are the ones that cost you an arm and a leg.

Until the time when she either sheds or you can clip her, I am going to guess 64344?. I cannot even make a guess on what the last one might be.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/
