    People that are expereinced with horses can make an uruly horse better, this is true. But I know of what the op is talkin about, about people with psycho horses that don't advertise them as being so, and conning people who won't find out until later when they are breathin thru a tube.

    That is exactly right. Not that Misty is psychotic, bi-polar maybe. She had kicked out at me, refused to let me touch her ears or her legs. There are major trust issues with her, and the fact that they are displaying her as they are is the issue here.

    Sure, it could have been me, but...... I have never seen her act any different around different people. So.

    I doubt seriously if a horse did that with ANYONE, particularly one with your experience, they ain't going to be a gentle lamb with someone else.....:roll: Unless, of course, one of the 'greats' happen to buy the horse.

    The unkept hooves is a tell tale sign that something's wrong... a red flag if you will.

    This is just ONE of MANY things to watch for when buying a horse.
