Really? Come on, now. *rant*
Sometimes I just can't stand to live with non-horse parents.
Let me explain.
Rainy has been limping off and on for coming on 2 weeks now. She has been treated with bute and stall rest, and we thought she had just pulled a muscle in her shoulder. She was on stall rest w/bute for 5 days & nights, seemed to be getting better. We turned her out for one night with the herd and were back to square one. So we decided tonight that we will call the vet and get his opinion, but long story short, with how everything is going, we're probably going to have to haul her to get x-rays.
So I come home tonight to tell my parents (I had warned them before this that we were probably going to get some vet bills out of it) that we were definitely thinking about x-rays. Now, we're not the richest people, but we're middle-class. We pay our bills and have a little left over. Which, lately, my mother has been spending on clothes and shoes she doesn't need. Not to mention her all-natural, organic food, exercise clothes, and weights. Anyway, so I tell my dad and immediately he starts talking about how money is SO tight, and how we can't do that right now. I understand the economy sucks and it's tough, but this is part of having a horse. He knew that when they bought Rainy.
UGH. He's being stupid-I know we can't spend a ton of money, but my mom goes shopping just because she feels like it. And my mom will be worse than my dad, whining about it and then telling me I'm spoiled because I want to help my hurt animal.
Alright, I'm done. I probably come off as a spoiled brat anyway, but quite honestly, I'm so fed up that I don't care.
