I recently rehomed my Morgan/Arab gelding. I love him dearly. A bit of my heart will always belong to him. But I decided he would be better off in a home with people who had the time to finish his training and make him the horse I know he can be. I am very privilaged to live within a very short distance of his new home and will be going to see him off and on to see his training progress. However, I want to always have a little bit of him with me. I have had one of my favorite photos of him printed and matted and have ordered a small brass stall plate-type thing with his name on it. I want to make a display of him. I was thinking I could get a bit of his tail hair and do something with that in the display as well.

Does anyone have any ideas for what I could do with the hair? Or any other suggestions? Thanks in advance! :D

^^ it's true
I usually make little keychains..I clean, condition, brush, and straighten (if necessary) the hair, fold it in half around a keychain loop thing and band it close to the top, leaving a little loop, then cut it so that it's all straight and even. It's usually about 3-4" from top to bottom.
Sometimes I make a little decorative band for it by beads on a string and tying it around where the rubber band is. It comes out pretty nice =)
I've done it with both mane and tail hair.

With tailhair you could make a pretty nice bracelet..I'd like to try to make one sometime.
