registering a colt

I want to register my colt but I am not sure how, I have never had to register one as mine all come already registered.
Can anyone help me? Is a quarter horse.

First, the sire and dam have to be registered and DNA typed, or your colt can't be registered.

If they are, then you'll need to download the form from AQHA and fill it out. They'll give you step by step instructions for what you need in order to properly register your animal.
