I'm trying to give mine to Riding for Disabled to use, but our branch has closed down.

I have seen horse rugs made out of them, they look pretty. I haven't got the patience to do that though.

Oh, and I heard someone made a quilt thingy with theirs.

yesterday my husband told me jokingly that i wasn't allowed to pick up any ribbons that weren't a first or champion otherwise we'd run out of room in the house! i tend to throw them in a pile in the attic. i doubt i'll ever do anything cool with them but i somehow can't seem to throw them away or not pick them up! :) i've seen some websites with some really cool things you can make out of them: quilts (my fav), pillows, stuffed horses, etc.

When my old show horse retired from the ring, I took all her ribbons and trophys (including two saddles she won) and set them up as a display, put her behind all the stuff she won, and photographed her there.

I kept the picture.

All the ribbons and trophies I tossed (we were moving). I sold the saddles.

I still have the picture. My old show horse is gone now (she died) but I'll have that photo and the memories forever.

There are also folks who use show ribbons to make quilts, they are very nice as well.

I hang my nice ones up, the rest are in a box somewhere. I've seen a few people make quilts out of them, pretty clever idea if you ask me.

Ribbon Quilts pictures from quilts photos on webshots
I found that on a google search.

I made a blanket for my bed out of some of my ribbons.
I don't have a photo of it finished, but here it is at 50 basic ribbons (when it was going to be a horse rug)...

Challenge me, dare me, or even defy me. But do not underestimate me.
For on the back of my horse anything is possible.
