Well, today, I decided to take Jibs out and putter with her. I have really enjoyed my new dressage saddle, and she is really doing well. She remembers everything I taught her last year, and really rounds up, and carries herself. This, is without steady riding for several months. (no indoor)
So, today, I wanted to try something new. I have never taken her out on the trail, or the road. Ever. So, I got her calm, and listening to me, and took her out in front of the barn. The road she is out on is very quiet, and very little traffic. So, I just rode he back and forth in front of the barn area. She was a little snorty, but she didn't even offer to spook. She really was taking good looks at the horse eating rocks in the ditch, and the little cable tower in front of the BO's house. I had her stop often and do a back up, just to keep her listening to me, and when I asked her to turn, she had to do it balanced. No slacking for her. In all, it turned out to be a great ride, till it started hailing on us.
It was a good day.
And, yes, I took pictures when I was up on her. She could have cared less about the fake picture taking noise on my BlackBerry.
